This picturesque sub-region specialises in the production of cool climate wines, particularly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with an added focus on premium sparkling wine production.

The trail of 19 kilometres by car could easily keep you busy for a day but a few deviations only add to the experience so don't miss other highlights of the Piccadilly Valley including Mount Lofty Botanic Garden (lower entrance), cherry picking and sales in season (December/January), Woodhouse Activity Centre for the kids, the new Brid Coffee Shop in Piccadilly and the township of Uraidla, home to The Uraidla Hotel (including brewery and The Tank wine cellar).

There's more than one day's worth of fun in this neck of the wood so consider staying locally to discover explore the attractions and hamlets of the Piccadilly Valley right on Adelaide's doorstep. Consider Mount Lofty House, Sequoia Lodge, The Crafers Hotel, Studio One apartment or Esto House B&B all in Crafers, or The Other House B&B in Piccadilly just out of Uraidla.

Don't worry if you can't manage to fit in the four wineries all on one day or weekend as the stamps don't expire - we wouldn't want you to rush and it's just a great reason to head back to the Hills to complete the trail! And you can complete the trail and collect glasses as your reward more than once.
