A South Australian icon. Glen Ewin Estate has been around for 183 years and is still going strong! It all began with horticulturist George McEwin, creator of the famous Glen Ewin Jam label, when he took up the land in 1843. Production continued on the Estate for many years until the brand was bought by IXL back in the 80s. Sadly, it fell into disrepair until Bill and Wendy Wauchope purchased the property in the early 90s. Little by little, Glen Ewin Estate has evolved through hard work and passion and is now one of the most unique properties in the Adelaide Hills. People love the beautiful gardens with their sweeping lawns and expansive lakes, and the original homestead as the backdrop to many weddings and events. Glen Ewin Estate is one of Adelaide's premier wedding destinations with two stunning venues. The Gatehouse Bar is open from Friday to Sunday, 9am - 5 pm for gin and wine tastings as well as seasonal lunches using local produce and wines.
