The Hahndorf Farm Barn combines a children's farmyard and a nature wildlife park designed to help you interact with tame and friendly animals.
On a visit to the Farm Barn you'll be treated to a one-hour interactive show in the barn where you'll be introduced to the Farmer's friendly farm animals one by one.
Then you're free to wander around and interact with our farm animals. You can hold guinea pigs and baby chickens, pat miniature horses and bottle-feed baby lambs and goats and more.
You can also wander around the fenced Nature Park - bring your own food for a picnic or barbecue lunch! There's so much to do at the Hahndorf Farm Barn that it's easy to spend a couple of hours here.
The Farm Barn also offers a gift shop and, for groups between 15 and 40 people, an Aussie Bush Barbecue.

By Car: The Farm Barn is a leisurely 30 minutes drive minutes from Adelaide via the South-Eastern Freeway. Take the Hahndorf exit and proceed through the village and continue past the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm for another two kilometres. Look for the Hahndorf Farm Barn sign on the right hand side of the road. If you are coming from Murray Bridge, turn off the freeway at Mount Barker and continue towards Hahndorf. The entrance to the Hahndorf Farm Barn is on the left hand side, 300 metres after the historic Nixon's Mill.
By Public Bus: You can also catch public transport from the Adelaide Bus Terminal in Franklin Street, Adelaide City to visit the Hahndorf Farm Barn. Please take the Transit Plus Mount barker Service and ask the bus driver to drop you at Stop 58. For more information please phone 08 8339 7544. The travelling time from the city is approximately 55 minutes by bus. Catch bus 864 or 864F from Grenfell Street- bus stop G2. Get off at bus stop 58. |
